what is a treasure?

someone or something precious and valuable,

 of great worth and importance.

what treasures come to mind . . .

for me,

its a glorious sunrise or sunset

the sound and smell of the beach

Tybee and its many memories

amazing clouds

the sound of joy and laughter

happy tears

dear friends

pictures of special moments that you never want to forget

the birth of our three children

our daughter's wedding day

making memories  

a bunch of fresh flowers

writing letters and receiving them

reading a wonderful book on a rainy day

enjoying our children

movie nights

and the many gatherings at Ellerslie ~

but more than anything,

 most importantly,

and above all these wonderful things

i treasure the Lord,

listening for Him,

reading His words,

being His child,

worshiping Him,

and one day, living with Him forever.

nothing could ever out treasure the King of Kings.

He is everything to me

and all i need.

all the earthly treasures i may have been blessed with

will never, ever be the treasure He is,

for He alone is "the treasure" . . .

that is what treasure means to me ~
